IV. Old Business

· There was a purchase of two more trunks for the Patriot Daughters. There now are 3.

· The quilt for Pennypacker is basted and on a frame. It will be brought to Neshaminy for continued sewing.

· Newsletter: Pam/Heidy’s computer has been replaced and is working well.

· $200 was approved for Landis Valley supplies. $100 has been spent for photocopies.

· $200 check was sent to Franklin, TN battlefield preservation. The CWPT turned our donation into $4000.00 with a variety of matched funds.

· Don’t forget to pay dues and event registration – we know where you live!

V. New Business

· At the next few events and meetings, the volunteers are still being sought to make dolls and other items to be sold at Landis Valley.

· Volunteers are sought to make housewives at Neshaminy and Pennypacker events.

· David Swonger is looking for ideas for a variety of scenarios to be performed at Landis Valley. Contact David with your ideas.

· There is an investigation about purchasing T-shirts and sweatshirts for the Patriot Daughters. Kim will get prices. Get your designs to Kim.

· Insurance Information

i. Scott MacBeth has paperwork for insurance from the Hartford Company (MD) who provides insurance for other CW organizations.

ii. When the paperwork is completed, we send it to them and they will provide options on premiums with no obligation to buy.

iii. Scott will complete paperwork and report back to the association.

VI. Event Information

· October 8, 2005 Haldeman Mansion (towards Bainbridge, PA on Rt. 441), 10 – 4, pig roast, music. Details are sketchy and the event appears to be disorganized. It was agreed upon that the event NOT be a sanctioned event.

· December 4, 2005 Marietta Candlelight Tours – waiting answer of acceptance from Gilmore’s ensemble.

· May 7, 2005 Wheatland Fashion Show – civilian event

· June 7, 2005 Wheatland Victorian Days – civilian event

· Sign up for school days at Pennypacker if interested. Must provide audience with two questions and answers about your impression.

· Gettysburg Weekend – civilians at reenactment, military at NPS Pennsylvania Monument with Guard.

· If going to Cedar Creek, must sign waiver.

· Kudos goes to Bill Magargle who portrayed Brig. General Joshua “Lawrence” Chamberlain at Appomattox last weekend. He did the unit, the guard, the Army of the Potomac, and the history books proud.

· Memorial Day Picnic:

- To be held after the Strasburg Memorial Day Parade at same pavilion as last year.

- Scott MacBeth’s father has volunteered to prepare the meal.

- Motion made and passed to charge for picnic to avoid logistical problems of hot/cold food items.

- Adults $5.00, children 12 and under $2.50 with balance coming from treasury (if needed).

- Menu: Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, macaroni and potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, desert, and drinks.

- Monday, May 30 after Strasburg Memorial Day Parade.

- Sunday, July 10, 2:00 pm Ironville UM Church.
