B’s Holiday Party
The holiday party will be held at the Marietta Meeting
House, 80 North Waterford Avenue, Marietta, on Saturday, January 15, 2005 beginning
at 5:30 p.m. Family members and guests are welcome. The meal will be catered by Boscov’s Catering
Service. Price of the meal is $11.50 per
person, child or adult. The menu
includes prime rib, chicken cordon bleu, salad, vegetable medley, oven roasted
potatoes, rolls and butter, coffee and tea, punch and various desserts. A nice feature of this catering service is
that you do not have to choose one entrée.
Each person will be able to have a serving of each entrée, chicken cordon
bleu and prime rib, if so desired.
A Victorian atmosphere will be
created. Period attire is encouraged but
not required. Feel free to bring any gag
gifts, if you are inspired to do so.
Also, we are asking everyone to bring a small gift, in the $5 to $10
price range, wrapped, for a gift exchange game.
We are gong to try this in lieu of door prizes, so that everyone who
brings a gift will receive a gift. Try
to make the gifts suitable for a man or woman.
There will be modern and period games.
To wind up our evening, David and Luann Swonger will lead us in
Victorian Dancing for those who desire to participate.
Directions: Marietta Pike (23
W) to traffic light at 23 and 441. Go
straight at this traffic light into Marietta. This is now E. Market
Street.
Travel .9 of a mile. (Marietta Borough
offices will be on your left and there is a road sign immediately in front of
you indicating that the road will be doglegging to the left). Make a right onto N. New Haven
St. At the stop
sign, look to your right and you will see the meeting house. Parking for the meeting house is on W.
Walnut. Make a slight right at the stop
sign and then an immediate left onto W. Walnut.
Go a short ways to the Susquehanna Waldorf School on your
left to the parking lot of the school just after passing the front of the
school.
From 30 W: Take the Columbia 441 exit
(the exit just after the Prospect
Road Exit).
Make a right onto 441 and travel to the first traffic light. Make a left onto E. Market
Street and follow directions above.
