The Lancaster County Civil War Living History Association is a group of civilian and military reenactors centered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The military members portray Company B of the 1st Pennsylvania Reserves, also known as the "Union Guards." The Union Guards participated (often heavily and always gallantly) in almost all Eastern battles. The civilians boast a variety of impressions, including a unique portrayal of a relief group, the Patriot Daughters of Lancaster. Both the military and civilian groups actively engage in research and are committed to fully authentic impressions.
We participate in battle reenactments (local and national), living history encampments and educational programs. We are a member of the Mifflin Guard, an umbrella reenacting group that prides itself on drill, authenticity, and camaraderie. We also tour Civil War sites, attend lectures, hold monthly meetings and celebrate with an occasional party or picnic . Please browse the rest of this site and email us with questions.
